• Lane of southbound Highway 302 permanently closing next week (gigharbornow.org) — Drivers traveling between Gig Harbor and the Key Peninsula should prepare for a permanent closure of one southbound lane on Highway 302 between Purdy Bridge and Burnham Drive next week, plus new turn restrictions at Burnham. WSDOT says the change, which includes adding a shared-use path for walkers and cyclists, aims to improve safety at a crash-prone intersection where a Gig Harbor woman died in February.
