• Iconic regional car wash brand in Gig Harbor sells site to local competitor (thenewstribune.com) — A well-known Elephant Car Wash location on 56th Street in Gig Harbor has been sold to Classy Chassis Car Washes & Detailing for $4.85 million, with transition plans still being finalized. Classy Chassis already runs a self-service car wash and oil-change center on Kimball Drive, so residents can expect the brand to expand its local footprint once the former Elephant site is integrated.
   

• Gig Harbor Police warn of rise in targeted phishing scam (kiro7.com) — Gig Harbor Police are warning residents about a spike in phishing scams where callers pose as attorneys for relatives and send couriers to collect cash at your home. Officers stress that real agencies will never demand immediate payment in cash, gift cards, or cryptocurrency, and urge anyone contacted this way to call 911 or the department's non-emergency line to verify and report it.
   

• Trio of River Ridge runners clinch top-30 finishes in league meet (thurstonchronicle.com) — A Puget Sound League cross country meet at Sehmel Homestead Park in Gig Harbor saw several River Ridge High School runners place in the top 30 on a slightly shortened course. Local residents may have noticed the busy park as athletes posted strong times ahead of the team's next race at the Fort Steilacoom Invitational this Saturday.
