• Cranes crowd the Harbor for work on Homeport and other projects (gigharbornow.org) — Construction crews are reshaping the Gig Harbor waterfront as work ramps up on the long-awaited Ancich Park Commercial Fishing Homeport and related environmental mitigation projects. Residents will see cranes, blocked parking near The Tides, and storm-drain upgrades aimed at protecting sea life, with heavy work continuing into next week and major Homeport installation expected to start around January. 
• Capital swept by Gig Harbor on road (thurstonchronicle.com) — Gig Harbor High's boys tennis team shut out Capital 5-0 in Pierce County, with two tight matches going to third-set tiebreakers. Capital's coach praised his young squad's progress, while Gig Harbor's sweep underscores the team's strong early-season form against regional opponents.
