📰 News we're reading

• Three popular trailheads will not be served by bus this summer (king5.com) — Trailhead Direct buses will skip Poo Poo Point, High School, and East Sunset Way trailheads this summer because Fifteenmile Creek Bridge construction is closing part of SE May Valley Road, a key route into the Issaquah Alps. • EBRT Recap: Dow Constantine on Sound Transit's $35B Reset and a Region That's Done Debating Transit (businessdailynetwork.com) — Sound Transit’s long-term plan still fully funds the future Issaquah-to-Kirkland light rail line, but pushes its construction later to help close a projected $35 billion deficit. CEO Dow Constantine outlines how the agency will maintain most projected ridership, add fare gates at busy stations, refresh its train fleet, and gear up for heavy World Cup crowds next month.
