Police Drone Helps Officers Track Bobcat Inside Home (officer.com) — A Kirkland home recently had an unexpected visitor when a bobcat slipped in through an open window, apparently attracted by the resident's cat. Kirkland police used a drone to track the animal safely indoors, then worked with state wildlife officers to sedate and release it near Forbes Creek, with no injuries to people, pets, or the bobcat.
   

• Conference Slate Opens Against Penn State On Friday - University of Washington Athletics (gohuskies.com) — Two Kirkland natives, Zack Meier and Connor Lofy, are key contributors on a University of Washington men's soccer team that opens Big Ten play at home against Penn State on Friday night.
