• High School Scoreboard, results from Tuesday, April 21 (columbian.com) — La Center High’s girls golf team narrowly fell 240-239 to Seton Catholic at Tri Mountain on Tuesday, with Sonja Austad and Grace Butterfield leading the Wildcats’ scoring. The scoreboard roundup also highlights track and golf results from other Southwest Washington schools, giving La Center fans a quick look at how neighboring programs are performing.
   

• Brad Benton drops bid for Clark County Council citing work responsibilities (tri-cityherald.com subscription) — La Center residents are directly affected as District 5 county council candidate Brad Benton has ended his campaign, leaving the seat that includes La Center without this previously announced contender. Benton cites work obligations, denies involvement in recent anti-levy mailers, and will continue serving on the Clark County Charter Review Commission while filing week for new candidates begins May 4.
