DUI Driver Destroys Memorial Featuring Slain Lakewood Officer
Former Lakewood Sgt. Mark Renninger was one of four officers killed in 2009 by Maurice Clemmons.

LAKEWOOD, WA — A memorial wall in Bethlehem, Penn., to police killed in the line of duty featuring a former Lakewood officer was partially destroyed by a DUI driver over the weekend, according to reports.
The driver veered off a road in the Eastern Pennsylvania city at around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, crashing through a piece of the brick memorial wall, according to WFMZ. Former Lakewood Sgt. Mark Renninger, who was killed in 2009 by Maurice Clemmons, is from Bethlehem, and is featured on the wall.
On Nov. 9, 2009, Renninger and three Lakewood officers — Tina Griswold, Ronnie Owens, and Greg Richards — were at the Forza coffee shop in Parkland when Maurice Clemmons ambushed them. Clemmons shot and killed Griswold and Renninger first. Owens and Richards died after fighting with Clemmons. He was shot and killed by a Seattle police officer early in the morning on Dec. 1.
