• Pierce County invests $300k in training programs at technical college (knkx.org) — Pierce County is putting $300,000 into training programs at Lakewood's Clover Park Technical College, expanding scholarships and lowering costs for short-term courses at the Eastside Training Center. The money will support construction, electrician, plumbing, ESL, high school completion, and fast-growing lineworker and arboriculture programs, aiming to help hundreds of local residents move into stable, good-paying trades jobs.
