Pierce County July 4 Fireworks Guide 2017: Where To See Shows, Parades

Find out where all the July 4 fireworks shows are in Pierce County in 2017.

LAKEWOOD, WA - Independence Day is almost here, which means it's time to make plans for where you're going to watch fireworks around Pierce County. There are plenty of July 4 events going on this year from Tacoma to Eatonville - and of course there's the massive annual Seafair July 4 fireworks show if you want to truck up to Seattle. To help you decide where to go, Patch.com has created a guide to all the Pierce County July 4 fireworks shows:

Eatonville

July 3 Fireworks, July 4 Parade: This is a fun event for the whole family. The festivities on the 3rd will kick-off at 5pm at the Eatonville Elementary School with food and vendors followed by a variety of entertainment starting at 6pm. Bouncy big toys will be there for the kids and a great fireworks display starting at dusk. The 4th of July Parade starts at noon. JBLM Freedom Fest: Freedom Fest is open to the public on July 4 and includes an all-day schedule of music and food, and the fireworks start at 10 p.m.

Puyallup

July 4 At Meeker Mansion: Enjoy FREE family lawn games plus purchase strawberry treats. The Puyallup Valley Community Band plays at 3pm.

Tacoma

Tacoma Freedom Fair: With a 40 year history, The Freedom Fair and Air Show, located on two miles of pristine waterfront, has repeatedly been recognized as one of the top July 4th Celebrations in the United States! This four-day destination event boast 7 Stages, an Air Show, multiple Car Shows, Camp Patriot dedicated to honoring our military heroes, an International Food Marketplace, a Media Day and a Pilot’s VIP Reception.

Note: fireworks are always illegal in city and county parks and all parts of Tacoma, including Ruston. Fireworks are also illegal in Steilacoom, at JBLM, and Fircrest.
