LAKEWOOD, WA — What was thought to be an abduction of a 10-year-old boy in Lakewood turned out to be a false alarm, according to Lakewood police.

At around 8 p.m. Monday, police put out an alert after a 13-year-old girl waiting for a ride near Oakbrook Elementary School said she witnessed someone in a motorhome grab a boy off the street. The vehicle left the area headed southbound on Hipkins Road Southwest.

A surveillance camera at a business near the scene caught the motorhome leaving the scene. The vehicle was found on Joint Base Lewis-McChord property, police said.
