• 3 arrested in Mead after months long drug investigation (khq.com) — Three people were arrested in Mead early Monday after Spokane Valley detectives served a search warrant tied to a months-long drug investigation centered on a home on North Main Street. Investigators seized meth, suspected fentanyl, several firearms, cash, and a reportedly stolen ATV, and say the case remains active. Residents may notice continued law enforcement activity as the investigation continues. 
• Mt. Spokane High School deals with burst pipe (khq.com) — Mt. Spokane High School in Mead is cleaning up after a burst pipe flooded areas near the front entrance, theater, and nearby classrooms, damaging floors, walls, and some musical equipment. District staff are still assessing the full impact but expect repairs to be completed over the summer so spaces are ready for the new school year.
