• Motorcyclist identified following fatal crash on Highway 2 (kxly.com) — A 20-year-old motorcyclist was killed late Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 2 about three miles north of Mead, near Green Bluff Road. State Patrol investigators say speed too fast for conditions caused the motorcycle to hit a pickup’s trailer; the truck’s occupants from Ellensburg were uninjured, and drugs or alcohol are not suspected.

Mead now faces Kamiakin on Friday for third place, while several other Greater Spokane League baseball, softball, and soccer teams advanced or were eliminated in district action.
