Garbage Fire Causes Mess On Mercer Island: Police
A garbage truck had to dump its load on a local street; it wasn't pretty.

MERCER ISLAND, WA - Under most circumstances, garbage is pretty bad for your health. But when the garbage is on fire, it's downright deadly. A garbage truck hauling its load along 78th Avenue Southeast experienced such a fire on Wednesday.
The truck was traveling along 78th Avenue Southeast when the garbage suddenly caught on fire. To put out the fire, the truck had to dump its entire load on the street. Luckily, the fire happened right on front of the North End Fire Station, according to police, so the fire was out quickly.
Unfortunately, the road was closed for a while due to the mess.

This isn't the first time a local garbage truck has had to dump its load due to a fire. On April 6, the load of a recycling truck in Sammamish caught on fire after someone put butane tanks in the recycling. Similarly, the truck had to dump its load along a local street, creating what looking like a big garbage explosion.
