Police, Pet Store Employees Team Up To Save Ducklings
Mercer Island police and employees from a Mud Bay teamed up Tuesday to save a group of parent-less ducklings.

MERCER ISLAND, WA - What do you get when you add police, ducklings, and a group of pet store employees? You get a happy ending to what could've been a sad story.
On Tuesday morning, Mercer Island police wrangled seven abandoned ducklings and took the little ones to PAWS in Lynnwood for rehabilitation. The ducklings will live at PAWS until they are old enough to re-enter "duck society," as the police department called it.
According to Mercer Island police, employees at the Mud Bay location in the downtown area had been keeping an eye on the ducklings for a few days. When they realized the mother duck was gone, the Mud Bay employees (and a Mud Bay customer) helped police corral the ducklings.
