• Washington's ambitious new mobile air monitoring study (wa.gov) — State air-quality vehicles will begin regularly driving through Midland, Lakewood, and Parkland this winter to measure detailed neighborhood-level pollution as part of a year-long statewide study. Funded by Washington’s Climate Commitment Act, the project aims to identify pollution hotspots and health risks in overburdened communities, with results expected to guide future protections when findings are released in 2028.
