• The Herald's 2026 Softball Player of the Year: Addi Anderson (heraldnet.com) — Monroe softball fans will recognize Stanwood star Addi Anderson from her standout performance in a 2025 game played in Monroe, where she helped beat the Bearcats. The junior pitcher-slugger has since powered Stanwood to a third-place 3A state finish and earned The Herald’s 2026 All-Area Softball Player of the Year honor through dominant pitching and vastly improved hitting.
