Open to Moses Lake and neighboring districts, the program offers flight simulation, drone training, pilot ground school, and college credit, connecting local teens to the region’s strong aerospace industry and Big Bend’s aviation programs. 
2. Moses Lake advances plans for third fire station as community grows (yaktrinews.com) — Moses Lake officials are moving ahead with plans for a third fire station to cut long response times to the city’s fast-growing north end and industrial area near the Port of Moses Lake. A temporary mobile station is planned first while leaders sort out funding, location, and design for a permanent facility expected to cost well over $10 million, with public input still to come.

Basin Sports Schedule: Sept. 1-8, 2026 (columbiabasinherald.com) — Moses Lake sports fans can track a full slate of fall games this week, including home football against Richland and volleyball and soccer matchups involving MLHS.
