• Two Injured In Two-Vehicle Accident On U.S. Hwy 97 Near Riverside (kpq.com) — Traffic on US 97 north of Riverside was backed up for hours Friday after a head‑on collision that injured both drivers, including a pickup driver from Okanogan. One man was airlifted to Spokane, while the Okanogan driver was treated at the scene as troopers continue investigating the cause. 
• Silver Alert Issued For Missing Elderly Omak Man (kpq.com) — A Silver Alert is active after 84-year-old Omak resident Glen Launer went missing Friday morning, with the Washington State Patrol acting on behalf of the Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office. He may be driving a brown 2015 Chevy Silverado, and anyone who may have seen him is urged to call 9-1-1 immediately.
• Randy Smith Joins Energy Northwest Board (thequake1021.com) — Okanogan County continues to have a voice in regional energy decisions as Tonasket rancher and auctioneer Jerry Asmussen begins a third term on Energy Northwest’s board. He’ll serve alongside newly elected executive board member Randy Smith of Chelan PUD, helping guide policies for carbon‑free power serving more than 1.5 million Washington customers.
