• SR 7/Pacific Highway Crossing and Signalization (wa.gov) — If you drive, walk, or roll along SR 7 in Parkland, new overhead pedestrian signals and turn restrictions are now active at 11 intersections shared with Spanaway. The project adds safer crossings, updated ramps, and median changes, though most left turns are now blocked except southbound at Violet Meadow Street South, so expect a different traffic pattern.

• Deputies say multiple large chainsaws were thrown from stolen truck during Parkland chase (king5.com) — A late-night police chase began when a pickup was reported stolen from a Parkland apartment complex, then sped through local roads and onto I-5 with chainsaws and climbing gear thrown out during the pursuit. Deputies and JBLM police eventually arrested two men after the truck got stuck near the base, and prosecutors have filed multiple felony charges against the alleged driver.
