2. Westbound traffic shifting onto new Ennis Creek bridge in Port Angeles (myclallamcounty.com) — If you drive Highway 101 through Port Angeles, expect westbound lanes to shift onto the new Ennis Creek bridge starting Wednesday night, with both directions using the new structure. Nighttime lane closures from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. will continue as WSDOT finishes bridge work and stream restoration at Ennis and Lees creeks through summer 2026.

Coroner: Missing Woman Died of Hypothermia Near Sol Duc Falls (myclallamcounty.com) — Port Angeles authorities have confirmed that a woman missing since late November died of accidental hypothermia near Sol Duc Falls in Olympic National Park. The Clallam County Coroner’s Office found no signs of foul play and said trace cannabis in her system did not contribute to her death, following an extensive multi-agency search that began after her rental car was located at the Sol Duc trailhead.

Voters approve NOLS' levy lid lift (sequimgazette.com) — Port Angeles library users can expect current hours and services to continue after voters narrowly approved the North Olympic Library System’s levy lid lift, raising the property tax rate starting in 2027. The system, which includes branches in Port Angeles, Sequim, Clallam Bay, and Forks plus a bookmobile, will use added revenue to maintain programs, technology, and staffing while planning carefully for future cost increases.
