Deputies have found the body of a man who went missing when his boat overturned late Thursday.

AUBURN, WA — One man has been confirmed deceased after his boat overturned late Thursday afternoon.

Around 5:30 p.m. a boat carrying two men overturned in the White River. One of the boaters, a man in his 40's, was able to swim to shore, and when his boating partner did not turn up, help was called.

King County Sheriff's Office deputies, their marine unit, Auburn Police and Valley Regional Fire all arrived to search the area for the second boater, a man in his 60's. However, after combing the river for several hours deputies called off the search, saying it had gotten too dark to safely continue and that they would resume the search in the morning.
