2 Teens Arrested For Fire At Karshner Elementary
Puyallup Police announced they had arrested two 15-year-old boys who they say lit the fire by setting off fireworks nearby.

PUYALLUP, WA — Two teenage boys have been arrested, accused of setting a fire that burned much of Karshner Elementary School over the weekend.
According to police the boys, both 15, had been throwing fireworks into trash cans on the school's southeastern side Sunday morning, when one of the cans began sputtering flames and lit the school on fire.
That blaze grew into a second alarm fire that caused "significant damage" to the building and took firefighters hours to put out.

At one point the fire kicked up so much smoke that Central Pierce Fire & Rescue began asking nearby neighbors to shelter indoors, and police had to be called to divert traffic away from the area. However, no one was injured in the incident.
Puyallup Police say both boys are being booked into Remann Hall Juvenile Detention Center and will face first degree arson charges.
