Teen Drives Through Puyallup McDonald's Drive-Thru

The incident happened Thursday afternoon in the South Hill Mall area. No one was seriously hurt.

PUYALLUP, WA — A teenager took the drive-thru at a South Hill McDonald's literally on Thursday afternoon.

The teen lost control of a small sedan while exiting the drive-thru at the South Meridian fast-food joint, slamming into the side of the building. The car punched through a wall and damaged the soda fountain on the other side, flooding the restaurant with cola, straws, and lids.

The incident happened at the McDonald's at 4603 S. Meridian, which is in the Michael's shopping plaza.

The 16-year-old had minor injuries, and Puyallup building inspectors responded to make sure the building was still structurally sound, according to Puyallup police.
