Deputies Locate Van Connected To South Hill Package Thefts

Pierce County deputies have obtained a search warrant for a van they believe is the one seen in several social media posts.

SOUTH HILL, WA — A van caught on video during several reported package thefts in the South Hill area has been found, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department. Deputies said the maroon van is believed to be the same one featured in photos and videos recently seen circulating on social media. The package thefts were reported along 160th Street.

According to the sheriff's department, deputies have a search warrant for the van and will continue their investigation into the reported thefts. Information regarding a potential suspect was not immediately available. The sheriff's department asks anyone who has a package stolen to report the crimes via the non-emergency line (253-798-4721) or online.
