High-Risk Sex Offender Arrested In Puyallup: Report

Joshua Mineer, 34, was wanted for failing to register as a sex offender.

PUYALLUP, WA — A man convicted of sexually assaulting young boys in the past was arrested Sunday in Puyallup for failing to register as a sex offender, according to Q13.

Tacoma-Pierce Crime Stoppers put out an alert on Friday for Level 3 sex offender Joshua Mineer, 34. Mineer has previous convictions from 1999 for first-degree rape of a child, and a 2003 conviction for first-degree child molestation, according to court records.

On July 16, Puyallup police attempted to verify that Mineer was still living at a home along 12th Avenue Southeast, but the people there said that Mineer only stayed there occassionally. A person living at the home later told an officer that Mineer wanted to use the address so he didn't have to check in every week.
