Landslide Closes Pioneer Way In Puyallup: Police
A landslide early Thursday morning closed a section of East Pioneer Way, and the road will remain closed for hours.

PUYALLUP, WA - A landslide has closed a section of Pioneer Way near Shaw Road East, Puyallup police say, and that stretch of road will be closed for much of Thursday.
Police reported around 6 a.m. Thursday that a slide was blocking part of the road along the 3400 block of East Pioneer Way. The road could be closed for up to six hours.

This is the second time in a week that a section of East Pioneer Way has been closed. Police and city officials closed the road overnight last Thursday for a slide near 33rd Street Southeast (just east of Shaw Road East).
