Nearly 80 Christmas Trees Stolen From Farm Near Puyallup
Pierce County detectives are asking for help finding whoever made off with dozens of trees from the Snowshoe Evergreen Tree Farm.
PUYALLUP, WA — Pierce County detectives are on a mission to catch the grinch who stole dozens of Christmas trees from a farm near Puyallup. Snowshoe Evergreen Tree Farm, located along State Route 162, called law enforcement earlier this week after someone swiped appoximately 78 Fraser Fir trees. Investigators believe the theft happened sometime between Saturday, Dec. 7 and Monday, Dec. 9.

Deputies said the suspect likely got on the property using a nearby trail, then cut down the trees and dragged them away. The trees are estimated to be worth more than $6,000 combined. While detectives do not have a description of the suspect's appearance, the Pierce County Sheriff's Department tapped the lyrics from "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch," to speculate on other attributes in a Facebook post:
