Puyallup Couple Float Vacation Home Across Puget Sound

You might never guess it, but shipping a home across Puget Sound is pretty cheap.

PUYALLUP, WA - A local couple have floated a pretty incredible idea.

Instead of building a new home from scratch, a Puyallup couple decided instead to float a pre-existing home to their property on Anderson Island, according to the Tacoma News Tribune.

Diane Myer, 53, and Mel Kite, 47, decided to buy a home and float it on a barge to Anderson Island, according to the paper, because the cost and time involved in building a home on the island was too much.
