Puyallup Gym Serves Up Christmas Eve Meals To Deputies
The Pierce County Sheriff's Department said Vie Athletics surprised deputies working the graveyard shift over the holidays.

PUYALLUP, WA — A Puyallup gym surprised deputies working the holiday graveyard shift with a full prime rib dinner and care packages on Christmas Eve. The Pierce County Sheriff's Department posted photos of the spread in a thank you message on its social media pages Thursday. Deputies said staff at Vie Athletics put together baskets full of homemade Christmas cookies and gift cards to make for a special holiday on the job.
"Thank you for your support, it means so much as we continue to serve and to heal our hearts," the sheriff's department said in a post on Facebook.

The department and the community are still grappling with the loss of Deputy Cooper Dyson, 25, who was killed in a crash while responding to a domestic violence call last Saturday. A public memorial is planned in Tacoma Monday afternoon.
