Search For South Hill Armed Robbery Suspect

Deputies are hoping the public can identify a suspect caught on video robbing a truck in the South Hill area.

PUYALLUP, WA — The Pierce County Sheriff's Department has released a video showing the lead up to an armed robbery in the hopes that the public will be able to recognize the suspect.

The video was taken around 5:45 a.m on Monday, June 29. Deputies say it shows the suspect as he breaks into a truck parked outside a home on 97th Ave. Ct. E. in South Hill.

According to deputies, the owner of that truck saw the break-in and confronted the burglar, who took off on the skateboard seen in the video. The truck's owner gave chase, following him into an alleyway, at which point the burglary escalated into an armed robbery: the suspect drew a handgun, and robbed the victim of everything in his pockets.
