PUYALLUP, WA — A 16-year-old from Puyallup died after an early Tuesday morning crash along West Stewart in Puyallup, according to police. Three other teens in the car were hurt, police said. The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. along West Stewart near 19th Avenue Northwest. The road was closed for hours due to an investigation, but police expected to reopen the road by 7 a.m.The teen was identified as Diego Villegas. He died at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma after sustained multiple traumatic injuries in the crash, according to the Pierce County Medical Examiner. Police did not immediately know what caused the crash.
