Woman Killed At South Hill Apartment Complex, Adult Son Arrested
Witnesses reportedly told deputies they saw the attack hit the woman with a rock after an argument.

PUYALLUP, WA — A woman died in an apparent domestic violence attack at a South Hill apartment complex Thursday, and her adult son has been arrested.
According to deputies with the Pierce County Sheriff's Department, around 9 a.m. Thursday witnesses saw the woman and her son arguing in the parking lot of the Aspen Creek Apartments on 104th Ave. Ct. E. But the argument ended with violence, when witnesses say the man picked up a large rock and slammed the woman in the head with it.
When deputies arrived, they found the man still nearby and arrested him without incident. Deputies have confirmed that he is the victim's 27-year-old son.

Meanwhile, medics attempted to resuscitate the woman, but their CPR attempts failed, and she was declared dead at the scene shortly after the attack.
Deputies say they expect the son to be booked into Pierce County Jail on suspicion of murder sometime Thursday afternoon or evening, but they are still investigating and expect to remain on scene for some time collecting evidence and interviewing potential witnesses.
