Tree Top Toys Is a Hidden Wonderland

Want to try out some of their bestsellers with your child? They absolutely love the idea, and so do I. How many toy stores encourage your kids to play? Well, this one does. From dress-up to dolls, from train sets to puzzles, this local toy store aims to please.

I love coming here with my daughter! I really enjoy the fact that I can play with her and see what toys she’s enjoying the most. It makes those purchasing frustrations so much easier. I know that what I buy her will have a good lifetime of use versus a closet dust bunny. Aside from the toys, we have a great fondness for the employees; from the smiling faces that welcome you to the friendly hello, the customer service their kindness goes a long way.

Another gem in finding this place are what I like to call rare oddballities. Our recent oddballity, is called Bubber. If you’ve heard of Bubber, then you’re a rock star, because it is the inthing to be playing with. We are the proud owners of Purple Bubber. This soft marshmallow like sand modeling compound is non-toxic, wheat-free (in case you were curious), and comes in a variety of colors. It's squishy, and this Mom is enjoying it as well. I'm also impressed on the cleanup. So I recommend it if you're not sure about using some of the products that resemble beach sand, but want an alternative to Play-doh for creative play and sensory learning.

What else can you find in this wonderland? The perfect gift...like, the original green toys! Make a pizza or a sandwich without worry of toxins or lead. In other words you can feel secure in knowing what your child is playing with—made in the USA out of 100 percent recycled materials. There’s more, you can also find Calico Critters, Train Sets, Books...and one of our favorites, Widgets! Our daughter has increased her mathematics skills in addition and subtraction combined with geometry in a very short time. Widgets are like building blocks for young mathematicians. You absolutely have to try them out! They have a table setup. Just ask one of the staff to lead the way. 

Do you have a little budding artist on your hands? Tree Top has plenty of arts and crafts to choose from, with a variety of projects to get the entire family involved. From your standard art supplies to actual kits that create just about anything you can think of. Just the other day, I actually found a weaving loom! I can’t help but say, how cool is that?! Seriously!

For the inspiring musicians, they have everything from guitars to drums to flutes, and of course what budding young singer can be without a microphone? Tree Top recently had a shipment come in of some very unique instruments. There is a goldmine here; you just need to look closely and find the one that fits your little one the best. Look for the store's tribal instrument collection by the main counter.

You can also choose from a large selection of puzzles, games, down to a mad scientist creature experiment. I love their selection of kits ranging from geology to stargazing. As my daughter ages, I do believe we the parents may be having more fun with the kits than she will. I’m honestly looking forward to some of the crazy monster experiments that we’re going to do while we watch science fiction films from the fifties. Slime, lots and lots of slime…

Let’s not forget about active play—thankfully Tree Top thought of everything when they redesigned the store. There are bouncy riders and trampolines, as well as tricycles and bikes. This store may appear small on the outside, but trust me when I say you could easily spend a few hours here and still not know everything in the store. Our little sportsters will love their selection of bats, jump ropes and balls. If you keep your eyes open, you’ll find hidden wonders that will delight the outdoor enthusiasts for fall. Who said raking was only for the adults? Little helpers will love assisting their Mom or Dad.  

Don’t forget, they have Playmobil to the eXtreme! I’m really serious when I mean eXtreme—this is a collector’s delight. There is an entire row dedicated to the small treasures that is Playmobil land of pirates and castles. Tree Top Toys definitely has our back when it comes to unique gifts for the entire family!
