• Redmond Crash Leads to DUI Arrest After Driver Allegedly Had Twice the Legal BAC – [your]NEWS (yournews.com) — A recent single-car crash at 148th Avenue NE and NE 87th Street in Redmond led to a DUI arrest after police say the driver's blood alcohol level tested at about twice the legal limit. No one was hurt, but Redmond officials are using the incident to urge residents to plan safe rides before drinking and avoid driving under the influence to prevent more serious crashes.
   

• Northshore appoints new school board member after vacancy (heraldnet.com) — Residents in parts of Redmond covered by Northshore School District will now be represented by newly appointed board member Dr. Robert Weir, a physician and Northshore parent focused on mental and behavioral health. He'll serve District 5, which includes Woodinville, areas of Redmond, and unincorporated King County, through 2027 and plans to run for reelection.
