Woman Sues After Getting Hit By Microsoft Connector Shuttle
Madhuri R. Devara was hit and seriously injured in a crosswalk near the Microsoft campus in Redmond in 2016.

REDMOND, WA - A local woman is suing Microsoft and the city of Redmond over a collision in 2016 with a Microsoft Connector shuttle near the company's main campus, according to court records.
Just before 7 p.m. on Feb. 26, 2016, Madhuri R. Devara was in a crosswalk at the Northeast 40th Street and South 148th Street intersection when she was hit by the Connector shuttle. It was dark out at the time of the crash, but street lamps above the intersection were not working, according to the lawsuit. The driver of the Connector shuttle told authorities he didn't see Devara in the crosswalk. She suffered spinal fractures and injuries to her pelvis.
A photo from the scene shows the front passenger side of the shuttle smashed. The shuttle was being operated by MV Public Transportation, Inc. under contract with Microsoft, according to the suit.
