Around the corner from the demolition, Bartell Drugs is working on remodeling its current store. Store manager, Charlotte Grondahl, said the store will include an additional 40 feet of gift space, long requested by customers.
The new and improved Bartells will have a larger pharmacy and compounding lab, and a new beauty area that will include bars and stools for sampling cosmetics. Grondahl said Bartells hopes to complete the remodel by the end of May.

And while demolition and remodeling are happening across the street, at the corner of 140th and Petrovitsky Road, the construction of a new Key Bank is currently underway. Corporate spokespersons say that the bank should be complete in July, and open to the public in September. Late last year, the 7-11 convenience store at this highly-trafficked spot was torn down to make way for the bank.
