1. 8-year-old boy drowns in Renton (auburn-reporter.com) — An 8-year-old boy died after being found unresponsive at a Renton residence on Aug. 20, despite medics' efforts to save him. Renton police say the incident currently appears accidental, and the King County Medical Examiner has ruled the cause of death as drowning. The child's family reported he was a strong swimmer, and the investigation continues.
