Arrest Made In Fatal Renton Shooting Of Teen
Renton detectives arrested a 41-year-old Seattle man Tuesday morning, accused of fatally shooting a teen boy on Monday.
RENTON, WA — The Renton Police Department arrested a Seattle man early Tuesday, who is accused in the shooting death of a 17-year-old boy in Renton Monday evening.
Officers responded to the 1400 block of North 4th Street just before 7:45 p.m. Monday, where they found the teen in an alley suffering from gunshot wounds, police said. In an initial news release, detectives said preliminary information indicated "the victim was targeted and that there is no risk to the general public."
In a brief update provided Tuesday afternoon, the police department said detectives identified a 41-year-old Seattle man as the shooter and arrested him Tuesday morning. Police said the 17-year-old was targeted "after an altercation" with the man.
