Suspect fleeing rape charges captured in Oregon (elkhornmediagroup.com) — A Richland man was arrested in Oregon after a late-night pursuit that began in Washington, where authorities say they had probable cause to charge him with serious felonies. Oregon officers stopped the vehicle near Hermiston and jailed the suspect on multiple charges related to the chase and a fugitive warrant. No injuries were reported during the cross-border incident.

Lunchbox Lift Up food drive to help feed children over summer break (nbcrightnow.com) — Richland residents can support local kids facing summer hunger by dropping off nonperishable foods at CBRC Health and Fitness or any Yakima Federal branch through July 10. The Lunchbox Lift Up drive, organized with NonStop Local and Yakima Federal, spreads donation sites across the Tri-Cities and nearby towns to keep children fed when school meals pause.
