1 Severely Burned In Sammamish Apartment Fire
The person was discovered inside a smoke-filled apartment in the Klahanie area.

SAMMAMISH, WA - A person living in a Sammamish apartment was severely burned in an fire early Friday. A sprinkler system in the apartment likely extinguished the flames before firefighters arrived, according to the fire department.
The fire broke out around 5 a.m. in the building along the 2500 block of Klahanie Way, which is near Challenger Elementary. Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke inside a third-floor apartment.
Firefighters said the blaze started on a couch inside the apartment. The resident of the apartment was taken to Harborview in Seattle for treatment of "severe burns."

Eastside Fire is still investigating the cause. There was no immediate update on the condition of the victim. Bellevue firefighters assisted and helped treat the victim.
