2 Women Killed In SR 18 Crash Identified
The crash happened near 5 a.m. last Friday near the Tiger Mountain summit.

ISSAQUAH, WA - The two women killed in a crash along SR 18 early last Friday morning have been identified as Maria Wong, 59, and Jasmine Lao, 21. The women were killed when another driver of a pickup truck crossed the highway and hit their car.
The crash happened around 5 a.m. Friday near the Tiger Mountain summit. The pickup truck driver was traveling westbound when he crossed the median and hit Wong's car. The driver was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment, but was expected to be arrested for vehicular homicide, according to Trooper Rick Johnson.
After the crash, Johnson said that the two women were the 37th and 38th deaths on Washington state highways or freeways so far this year.

Ashley Hagen, 26, died in a crash on SR 18 just six days before Wong and Lao, and in the same vicinity. Hagen, a mother of a young son, crashed into a barrier near Issaquah-Hobart Road.
