5 Injured In Wrong-Way I-90 Crash Near Issaquah
A driver fleeing police caused a major crash Monday evening, leaving several people critically injured.
PRESTON, WA — Eastbound I-90 was shut down for more than an hour Monday night after a wrong-way crash involving a car that was fleeing police. Five people were injured, including some critically, state police said.
A white van was fleeing from Snoqualmie police after an assault and possible kidnapping. The van entered I-90 going the wrong direction in the eastbound lanes. The van crashed into another car near milepost 25, which is near the SR 18 interchange.
The crash was first reported around 8 p.m. All eastbound lanes were reopened by around 9 p.m., according to state police.
