Just a quick heads up for all you anglers out there. Beaver Lake is being stocked today with 3-pound trout. The first truck load full just left the hatchery. The operation will take most of the day. In all four truck loads full will be planted. The boat launch is closed for the day to allow for the release and will open again tomorrow morning.
The rainbow trout have been raised at the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery. Many visitors have enjoyed feeding the trout who rise to the top of the water in a feeding frenzy when ever food is tossed into their rearing pond.
Money to pay for the feed comes from the City of Sammamish and is generously donated to the Friends of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery who help supplement the feed costs.
