Donate Your Plastic Bags to Kids in Need

Starting tomorrow, March 1, Issaquah will put into effect its city-wide ban on plastic bags.

Issaquah based social service agency, Eastside Baby Corner (EBC), will gladly accept any gently-used plastic bags that area residents want to donate to a worthy cause! EBC distributes, free-of-charge, basic essentials that kids need such as shoes, diapers, food, clothing, car seats, and much more. We serve over 500 local kids in need, every week, and work with over 120 provider partners in the area, ranging from domestic violence programs to hospitals.

EBC recycles and re-uses over 750 plastic bags every week. We utilize plastic bags for a variety of re-packaging and recycling purposes, such as: repacking diapers to serve the most amount of kids in need, sorting donated toys and bottles, keeping donated puzzle pieces together for birthday bags, and so much more!
