
DUVALL, Wash. –This
year’s SandTennial Festival
will be held at McCormick Park on the shore of the historic and beautiful
Snoqualmie River in Duvall, is looking
for artists to demonstrate, display and sell their work within the arts fair
located on a grassy knoll overlooking the river and sand sculpture area. As the community of Duvall celebrates their
Centennial, the main goal of the 2013 festival is to celebrate the arts and
introduce and promote local and regional artists and art organizations. The dates for this years Festival are
Saturday and Sunday, July 20th and July 21st.
The festival features a professional and community sand sculpture event
and includes live music, dance and performance, story telling and a fine art
and craft fair. All applicants must complete an entry form, sign and date the agreement and submit
photos/slides or other samples of their work that will be representative of the
items shown/sold at the festival. Include
the $50.00 application fee in order to be considered. All applications must be received by the May
31st, 2013 deadline. Applicants will
be judged on the quality and originality of the work submitted. Special consideration will be given to
artists who indicate that they are willing to demonstrate their
technique/medium at their booth during the festival. All items sold at the festival must be hand
made by the artist. 100% of artist sales
belong to the artist. No commercial or mass
produced merchandise will be permitted however, greeting cards, t-shirts,coffee mugs, etc. that feature the artist’s original images will be
allowed. All artists are responsible for
their own booth and display. Each artist
will be assigned a 6x10 or 10x10 space depending on preference and availability. Accepted artists are
allowed to share booth space. Electricity
will be available on a very limited basis.
Running water will be accessible.
Art Festival hours are Saturday and Sunday, 12:00pm – 6:00pm. Booth set up is Friday evening
5:00pm-8:00pm. For more information on important
