artEast Hosts Holiday Marketplace Dec. 2 - 4

Holiday works for sale by artEast artists, plus lots of fun activities and live music

The artists of artEAST Art Center, located at 95 Front Street N in Issaquah, are preparing for their holiday show, The Art of Giving, a celebration of creativity, beauty, and whimsy. 

The Art of Giving Holiday Marketplace takes place on Friday - Sunday, Dec. 2 - 4.  This is a festival event that features art demonstrations, art making, and a public reception for the ongoing Holiday Show, which runs until Dec. 30. The gallery is full of works by our local artists, including one-of-a-kind ornaments. The schedule for the weekend marketplace includes:

Friday, Dec. 2

4-8pm, Make Your Own Cards with Michelle Ryan

Saturday, Dec. 3

1-3pm, Block Printing demo by Theresa Neinas

2-6pm, Creative Gift Tag demo by Sarah Brighton

3-5pm, live music from David Irish on keyboard

6-9pm, Art of Giving Reception with wine and appetizers

7-9pm, live jazz guitar from Todd Fawsett.

Sunday, Dec. 4

12-3pm, Clay hand building demo by Juliette Ripley-Dinkelberger

1-3pm, Creative Gift Tag demo by Sarah Brighton  

3-5pm, Jewelry Design Demo by Qun Zuo

Admission is free to all and family friendly. A complimentary handmade ornament in the spirit of the season awaits patrons while supplies last.  

While you're there, be sure to check out artEast's annual Collective Works Holiday Show featuring small works ( 8” by 8” or smaller) by its member artists in a variety of mediums. The exhibition continues through Dec. 30.  Works are on view and available for purchase.
