Bicyclist Dies In Issaquah Crash

A car ran over and killed in a bicyclist in the Friday morning incident.

ISSAQUAH, WA - A car vs. bicycle collision Friday morning ended with the death of a 69-year-old man, KOMO News reported. The wreck at the intersection East Lake Sammamish Parkway and SE 56th Street involved a SUV that ran over and pinned the bicyclist. Emergency responders were able to extricate the man, but he was pronounced dead.

The bicyclist was going through a crosswalk with the walk sign when the driver struck him, according to police. An Issaquah woman driving an SUV south on East Lake Sammamish Parkway turned right onto 56th Street and struck the bicyclist. Police said she is cooperating with the investigation.
