Biggest Road Project In Issaquah History Opens

Construction on the Southeast 62nd Street project began in 2017.

ISSAQUAH, WA -The "biggest capital project in Issaquah history," an extension of Southeast 62nd Street, is now complete.

The new road connects the area around the Costco headquarters to East Lake Sammamish Parkway. The new road hews along I-90, giving drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists a second way to access the busy Costco area.

The project added a roundabout at Lake Drive and Southeast 62nd and 221st Place Southeast near 4th Avenue Northwest. For the Lake Sammamish Trail, crews built an underpass beneath 62nd so trail users don't have to cross a street.
