Sammamish Plateau Water and Sewer District Celebrates Drinking Water Week!

The Sammamish Plateau Water and Sewer District kicked off Drinking Water Week 2012 with a call to “Celebrate the Essential” throughout its service territory. Drinking Water Week runs from May 6-12. We have been providing water and sewer service to our customers since 1948, for over 64 years!
We will continue to inform our customers about the essential role drinking water plays in our daily lives, with special attention to water infrastructure. We all agree that water is an essential element in our daily lives, but water and sewer service is a convenience that we too often take for granted. Pipes buried underground deliver the water that is vital to our quality of life and economic vitality, and remove the wastewater from our homes. Water and sewer infrastructure is one of our most valuable community assets, and we need to ensure pipes and pumps are in good working order for the next generation.
