Brush Fires Break Out Across Puget Sound Thursday
Brush fires broke out in Shoreline, Issaquah, Everett, and Puyallup on Thursday, according to firefighters
ISSAQUAH - A series of brush fires broke out across Puget Sound Thursday afternoon as the region enters a 25-plus day stretch without rain.
Mid-afternoon Thursday, firefighters and police responded to three brush fires burning along I-90 in the vicinity of SR 900 in Issaquah. The fires blew black smoke over the highway, causing traffic delays.
A short time later, two small brush fires broke out in Shoreline at the King-Snohomish county border along I-5. Those fires were extinguished quickly.

Around that same time, firefighters responded to a home in Puyallup for a brush fire that measured 50 feet square. Firefighters were able to put the fire out before it spread to a nearby house.

On Friday morning, Snohomish County Firefighters put out a brush fire at a homeless camp near Everett.
