Village Theatre

In 1902 New York, anything seemed possible. RAGTIME is a uniquely compelling exploration of America at the turn of the 20th century, weaving together three unforgettable stories: a daring Harlem pianist, a determined Jewish immigrant, and an affluent society woman. Each navigates a changing world, united by courage, compassion, and belief in the promise of the future.
With its Tony Award-winning score blending ragtime, blues, jazz, and show tunes, RAGTIME has been hailed by TIME Magazine as “a triumph for the stage,” and by the International Herald Tribune as “the best musical in twenty years.”
In a production marking our nation’s 250th birthday, this beloved epic musical bursts onto the Village stage, painting a vivid portrait of the people who built this country with hope for a brighter tomorrow.

North Fork Farm Events Snoqualmie, WA

Hosted by Techies + Wellness
There’s something about the changing seasons that reminds me how important it is to make space for what’s next.
Sometimes that means slowing down.
Sometimes it means listening more closely to ourselves.
And sometimes it means recognizing that we’re ready to release something we’ve been carrying longer than we realized.
That’s why I’m so grateful to be participating in Let Go to Let Grow, a beautiful Sound Ceremony hosted by Jamie Cabaccang and Techies + Wellness on Sunday, October 4 at North Fork Farm in Snoqualmie.
I’ll be joining Jamie and fellow healing practitioners Opal Hopkins, Marleen Berg, and Zeon Cabaccang for an afternoon centered around sound, intention, healing, reflection, and renewal.
What You’ll Experience
Jamie will guide us through intention setting followed by an immersive sound journey featuring Crystal Tones® alchemy singing bowls, Sacred Metal Italian Gong, Shamanic drum, Native Hawaiian and Peruvian flutes, harmonium, and vocal tones.
Together, the practitioners will help create a supportive space where you can settle in, receive, and reconnect with yourself.
All of this will unfold at beautiful North Fork Farm, surrounded by nature and overlooking Mount Si.
What I love about this gathering is that you don’t need to arrive with anything figured out.
You can simply come as you are.
Maybe you’ve been carrying stress or overwhelm.
Maybe you’re moving through grief or change.
Maybe you’ve reached a transition in your life and know something needs to shift.
Or maybe you simply want an afternoon to rest, breathe, receive, and reconnect with yourself.
There’s room for all of it.
I’ll Be There Offering Bio-Energy Healing
I’m honored to be participating as one of the healing practitioners supporting this experience.
For me, Bio-Energy Healing is about creating space for people to reconnect with themselves—their bodies, their inner wisdom, and the sense of peace and wholeness that can sometimes become difficult to hear beneath the noise of everyday life.
Bringing this work into an experience alongside sound, energy, nature, and community feels especially meaningful to me.
Sometimes letting go isn’t something we need to force.
Sometimes we simply need to create enough space to allow it.
And perhaps this afternoon can be that space.

ISSAQUAH, Wash., October 10 - October 31 – The Downtown Issaquah Association celebrates its latest Story Stroll™ “edutainment” program along with the Issaquah Library with the fanciful, heartwarming bilingual book “Apple Pie Picnic” written by Alicia Duran & illustrated by Brian Fitzgerald.
The Story Stroll™ features Rosa and her family, who live in a house in the country where an apple tree grows. With short stanzas, interspersed with occasional vocabulary in Spanish, we journey through the year and witness the tree as it changes and develops fruit. We discover what makes the tree grow strong and how the flowers are pollinated. Eventually, the apples are fully grown and ready to be picked.
Each page will be displayed prominently in business windows along Front Street starting at the Issaquah Library on Sunset Way from October 10th through October 31st.
Champions of literacy and visual arts, the Downtown Issaquah Association, and the King County Issaquah Library, host strolls at least twice a year.
"Our Story Strolls celebrate literacy, diverse perspectives, and have always been one of the most popular programs for residents, school children, and visitors from all over the Eastside,” said DIA President Christina Bruning.
There is a grandparent/grandchild relationship lovingly portrayed. This book has so many dimensions to it. Great to use when studing all the foods of the fall harvest
Amazon Books Review: “This is a lovely story for reading aloud and sharing information about apple trees and how they grow.”

A free 90-min session for Issaquah-area homeowners on what backyard cottages actually cost, what the rules allow, and how long they take.
Backyard cottages — also called detached ADUs or DADUs — have become a common question for Eastside homeowners. The rules have changed in recent years, and most of what people know comes secondhand: a neighbor's project, a headline, a number someone heard once.
This 90-minute session covers the three things worth knowing before you start:

What the rules allow today — and what's specific to where you live

What building one actually costs — a real range from projects we've built, and the factors that move it

How long the process takes — from first conversation to finished structure

We'll also walk through a quick way to check whether your own lot is likely to qualify.
You don't need to be ready to build. Most people in the room are still deciding whether a backyard cottage makes sense for them at all, and this session is built for that stage. Nothing is sold in the room.
The last half hour is set aside for questions, which is often the most useful part of the evening. Bring yours.
This is one of a series of free homeowner education sessions we're holding across Eastside communities this fall.
Wednesday, October 14 Doors 5:45 · Program 6:00–7:30 PM Free to attend · Free parking
Hosted by Dream DADU, a design-build firm on the Eastside, and presented by our founder, Toph Villa. Held at Gibson Hall in Issaquah. Reserved parking is available behind the building — the posted signs read "Load and Unload Only," but those spots are held for our guests for the evening. Free street parking is also available nearby.
Please let us know if you need any accommodations to attend. client@dreamdadu.com
